Global Leadership Development Program – Developing our next generation leaders

Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa (AMEA) is an important growth region for Boston Scientific. Global Leadership Development Program (GLDP) aims to systematically develop highly talented, diverse global leaders who are capable of leading the organization into the future and ensuring longterm success.

GLDP is designed to provide cross-franchise and cross-country development early in your career. It provides a platform for you to develop general management and leadership skills through a combination of crucial job assignments and challenging international work experiences, stretching you beyond your comfort zone and developing you to your fullest potential.


Training in the US/Europe

You will spend up to 12 months in the US/Europe, undergoing intensive sales and product training, field assignments, and have the opportunity to work on product strategies, marketing and business plans. For GLDP candidates for Finance and Operations functions, an appropriate training plan will be developed based on your prior work experiences and future skills requirement.

Job Assignment

After training, you will be posted to a market in AMEA for one to two years where you will assume responsibilities in marketing/ product management or in a functional area.

Return to Home Country

Depending on your role, GLDP prepares you for positions of significant responsibilities upon return to your home country where you may have the opportunity to manage a sales team, assume product marketing management responsibilities, lead a new business or a critical functional area.

Successful Candidate Profile

  • Masters of Business Administration degree from a reputable university
    • At least 5 years' of progressive industry experience in an MNC environment with proven track record of success.
    • If you wish to pursue a general management career path, prior working experiences in sales and marketing roles in an emerging market will be an advantage.
    • Fluency in English is required; other language skills and experience living or working abroad is a plus.
  • Excellent command of the English language; fluency in a second language is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with a passion for driving change.
  • Geographically mobile, but committed to the AMEA region.
