Meet Manoj

Managing Director
2014 GLDP Batch

Hi my name is…

… Manoj. I joined the GLDP in 2014 after graduating from INSEAD. Prior to INSEAD I worked in the Medical Devices and Financial Services industries in South Asia. I pursued Mathematics and Management in college before starting my first role in insurance sales in India. After graduating from INSEAD, I was lucky enough to have a choice of industries to move in to but realized that my heart is in healthcare. I decided to join the company that promised the best learning environment, with the most challenging leadership assignments and that was Boston Scientific.

My work helps BSC to…

… ensure that some of the most innovative products in the medical devices industry reach the patients that need them most. I have had the opportunity to work with doctors and their patients in different roles in developed markets like the US and Australia, as well as emerging markets like the Philippines and now India. Across geographies, I have witnessed some of Boston Scientific’s core values of caring and high performance to ensure that we transform healthcare through our innovative products. In my current role as Managing Director of Boston Scientific in India, I have the fantastic opportunity of working with an incredibly talented team in one of the largest and strategically significant market.

My most valuable BSC career experience to-date…

… has been the extraordinary learning exposure across various markets in Asia, Australia and the US. The GLDP journey has always challenged and tested my capabilities to learn and contribute fast in a dynamic environment. I’ve been coached by truly inspiring leaders around the world and had opportunities to do new things that I’ve never done before in my career. These include working closely with R&D on product development, leading marketing efforts, turning around business performance in a highly regulated country with limited reimbursement, amongst others. Closest to my heart is the opportunity to work with amazingly talented people across the world who share my passion for healthcare and want to help people.

My advice to people who are interested in the GLDP…

… take charge of your learning and development journey. GLDP offers unique learning opportunities in a dynamic and exciting environment and pushes you to learn and contribute in making a difference to the lives of people around the world. Get ready to try new things, connect with talented people and coaches, and make a point to say yes more often than no, because that is how adventure will follow and growth will come. Lastly, enjoy the fact that you are positively impacting the health of millions around you.

How would you describe working at BSC in three words?
